A: Great question. This module is MSA compliant and supports auto-negotiation for speed and duplex. In our experience, it works plug-and-play in both Cisco and Juniper switches. However, if you have a legacy switch, it's always good practice to hard-set the interface to 1000-Full to avoid any negotiation issues. The module will work at 1.25Gbps without a problem.
