Generic CWDM-SFP10G-10M Compatible LINK-PP module is a commercial 10G SFP+ CWDM transceiver module engineered for 1590nm single-mode fiber links up to 10km with duplex LC connectivity and real-time diagnostics. It delivers CWDM wavelength efficiency, SFP+ hot-pluggable convenience, and SFF-8472-compliant monitoring for metro, enterprise, and data center deployments.
Generic CWDM-SFP10G-10M Compatible LINK-PP features a hot-pluggable SFP+ design that allows field replacement without powering down network equipment. Full SFP+ MSA and SFF-8472 compliance ensures interoperability across multi-vendor platforms while enabling comprehensive digital diagnostics.
Operating at 10Gbps, this SFP module meets the bandwidth demands of modern high-capacity backbone and aggregation networks. CWDM wavelength multiplexing allows operators to scale fiber capacity by adding parallel 10G channels without laying new cable.
CWDM technology leverages coarse wavelength spacing to pack multiple 10G channels onto a single fiber pair, dramatically improving fiber utilization. This approach reduces infrastructure costs and simplifies network upgrades for service providers and enterprise IT teams.
The 1590nm transmit wavelength is part of the ITU-T standardized 18-channel CWDM grid optimized for long-haul single-mode transmission. This channel offers excellent fiber optic compatibility and stable operation across commercial temperature ranges.
Engineered for single-mode fiber spans up to 10km, the module maintains adequate optical power budget for reliable metro and campus links. A CWDM EML laser and PIN photodiode combination ensures consistent signal quality throughout the full transmission distance.
The duplex LC connector system provides reliable, low-insertion-loss connections to standard single-mode fiber patch cables and switch ports. Compact LC sizing enables dense port configurations in modern networking equipment and optical distribution frames.
SFF-8472-compliant digital diagnostic monitoring continuously reports temperature, supply voltage, TX/RX power, and laser bias current to the host system. Network operators gain real-time insight into module health for predictive maintenance and rapid fault isolation.

Q: We want to use this CWDM module in a site where a link failure would be difficult to investigate quickly. Is there a way to make optical issues easier to spot remotely? By T***s on 2026-03-22
A: Yes. Use the DOM feature through a compatible switch or monitoring platform and set alerts for abnormal optical-power or temperature readings. This can help identify fiber loss, connector contamination, or environmental issues before the link drops. By admin on 2026-03-23
Q: We have a 1590nm channel available on our CWDM MUX/DEMUX pair. Do we need to install the same 1590nm 10G CWDM SFP+ module at both ends of the link? By Q***h on 2026-01-25
A: Yes. For a duplex 10G CWDM connection, install one 1590nm CWDM SFP+ module in the network device at each site. Each module connects to the local 1590nm port on the CWDM MUX/DEMUX, while the MUX/DEMUX units carry the signal over the shared single-mode fiber route. Using a different wavelength at either end will prevent the 1590nm channel from linking properly. By admin on 2026-01-26
Q: We are using an eight-channel CWDM MUX rather than a full 18-channel system. Does that automatically mean 1590nm is included? By V***e on 2025-08-25
A: Not always. Eight-channel MUX units can use different wavelength selections, so check the channel labels or datasheet rather than assuming that 1590nm is present. By admin on 2025-08-26
Q: The fiber route between our buildings is relatively short, but it passes through a CWDM MUX and several patch points. Should we still check the optical loss budget? By R***r on 2025-04-04
A: Yes. Even on a short route, CWDM MUX insertion loss, patch-panel loss, dirty connectors, and splice loss can affect the received signal. Verify that the total loss stays within the module’s supported optical budget. By admin on 2025-04-05
