This high-performance transceiver delivers four multiplexed data channels supporting up to 11.2Gbps per lane. Compliant with QSFP MSA and 40GBASE-ZR4 standards, it includes built-in EML transmitter and an APD photo-detector, ensuring exceptional dispersion management and reliable signal integrity over long distances.
The Juniper QSFPP-40G-ZR4 Compatible LINK-PP optical module converts four electrical input channels into four LAN-WDM optical signals. This high-density 40G module optimizes fiber infrastructure for high-capacity enterprise networks and massive data center deployments.
Engineered explicitly for high-bandwidth metropolitan area networks, the QSFPP-40G-ZR4 ensures robust data transmission. It easily connects backbone core routers and metropolitan switches, providing a scalable and reliable 40G transport layer.
Utilizing advanced 4-lane LAN-WDM MUX/DEMUX technology, this module aggregates four separate data streams onto one single-mode fiber. This design maximizes spectral efficiency and dramatically reduces the need for expensive physical cabling.
Operating on precise ITU-T G694.2 grid wavelengths, the module uses 1295.56nm, 1300.05nm, 1304.58nm, and 1309.14nm channels. These ultra-exact allocations prevent channel crosstalk and optimize long-haul signal propagation.
Equipped with an advanced APD receiver, the QSFPP-40G-ZR4 breaks distance limitations by supporting single-mode fiber links up to 80km. It eliminates the need for expensive inline optical amplifiers.
Featuring an industry-standard duplex LC optical connector, this module ensures seamless, low-insertion-loss connectivity. The precise mechanical pull-tap latch allows effortless installation and removal in high-density patch panels.
The integrated Digital Optical Monitoring interface provides real-time access to operational metrics via an I2C serial interface. Network operators can instantly track critical parameters like transceiver temperature, supply voltage, and channel power.

Q: Just to be 100% sure before I finalize the PO, this requires standard single-mode fiber with a Duplex LC connector, right? By M***k on 2026-02-19
A: Spot on. This transceiver relies on Single-Mode Fiber (SMF) using standard Duplex LC physical interfaces. It utilizes 4-lane LAN-WDM MUX/DEMUX technology to push 40Gbps across that single pair of fiber. By admin on 2026-02-19
Q: We’re deploying a 70km metro link. Does this transceiver require inline optical amplifiers, or can we save on that cost? By D***s on 2025-11-30
A: You can definitely skip the extra hardware! Thanks to the high-sensitivity APD receiver and robust EML transmitter, it effortlessly supports up to 80km over single-mode fiber without any inline amplification, massively reducing your total cost of ownership. By admin on 2025-11-30
Q: Does this 40GBASE-ZR4 module play nice with a mixed network of Cisco Nexus core switches and Arista edge devices? By C***l on 2025-10-25
A: Absolutely! The LQ-LW40-ZR4C is highly compatible. We rigorously test it to ensure seamless interoperability across major brands like Cisco, Arista, Juniper, and Dell, eliminating vendor lock-in for your data center. By admin on 2025-10-25
Q: Our corporate procurement requires strict adherence to networking standards. Does this module support full DOM via I2C? By D***n on 2025-06-05
A: Yes! It is fully compliant with QSFP+ MSA and IEEE 802.3ba standards. It features a built-in I2C interface for real-time Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM/DDM), allowing your IT admins to track voltage, temperature, and channel power accurately. By admin on 2025-06-05
