Juniper EX-SFP-GE80KCW1370 Compatible LINK-PP module is a CWDM module rated for 1Gbps data rates over single-mode fiber, with 80km reach and a Duplex LC connector. It embeds DOM for live optical monitoring and follows SFP MSA specifications for physical and electrical interoperability.
This SFP transceiver adopts a hot-pluggable SFP footprint, enabling insertion and removal without system power-down. Its pinout, control logic, and electrical interface are fully compliant with the SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA), ensuring drop-in compatibility with standard host equipment and management software.
Designed for backbone applications, this transceiver delivers a 1Gbps line rate over single-mode fiber. It is well-suited for high-speed trunk links where stable, long-distance data transport is required.
Incorporating CWDM technology, the module enables wavelength-division multiplexing on a single fibre pair. This conserves scarce fibre resources and reduces the need for additional cable installation in dense network environments.
Operating at the 1370nm channel, this module falls within the standard CWDM grid for coarse wavelength division. The specific centre wavelength ensures low crosstalk with adjacent channels when used in multi-wavelength systems.
Capable of driving signals up to 80km over standard single-mode fibre, this module suits metro and regional interconnects. The integrated DFB laser and PIN receiver work together to maintain link integrity across that distance.
Featuring a duplex LC optical connector, the module offers a compact and reliable dual-fibre interface. This industry-standard receptacle allows quick plug-and-play connection to patch panels and distribution frames.
With built-in Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM), the module reports real-time values for Tx/Rx power, laser bias current, supply voltage, and internal temperature. These live data help network operators detect link degradation early and schedule preventive maintenance.

Q: Our fiber route uses duplex LC patch panels, but the trunk cable is an older OS1 single-mode cable. Is that compatible? By J***l on 2026-03-30
A: Yes, the module has a duplex LC receptacle and is designed for single-mode fiber links. OS1 single-mode fiber is generally suitable, provided that the fiber condition, connector quality, and total optical loss are within the link budget. By admin on 2026-03-31
Q: We are building a CWDM ring with several wavelengths on the same fiber pair. Can this 1370nm 1G SFP module connect directly to a CWDM MUX/DEMUX? By E***d on 2025-11-02
A: Yes, this 1370nm CWDM SFP is intended for CWDM wavelength-division applications and can be used with a compatible CWDM MUX/DEMUX. Make sure the multiplexer has a matching 1370nm channel and that the overall system loss, including MUX/DEMUX insertion loss, remains within the optical budget. By admin on 2025-11-03
Q: Does DOM allow us to monitor module temperature remotely and identify heat-related issues before a link goes down? By O***s on 2025-06-09
A: Yes. This LS-CW371G-80C SFP module supports Digital Optical Monitoring under SFF-8472. If your switch or NMS supports DOM reading, you can monitor parameters such as module temperature, supply voltage, transmit optical power, and receive optical power to help identify abnormal operating conditions.
