The QSFP28 cage is the same one the four lane parts already use, so the upgrade was a module swap and nothing else. We did chase one flapping link down to a dirty patch and reseated the LC, and after that it trained at a hundred gig and has not dropped since, no issues at all. The single lambda approach removed three lasers worth of things to go wrong, and that shows in the error counters.
