02.How long can a passive 10G SFP+ DAC run?
Passive 10G SFP+ DACs are commonly stocked from 0.5 m up to about 7 m. Same-rack and adjacent-rack links usually use 1–3 m; longer paths may need AOC or 10G optics plus fiber. Confirm AWG, bend radius, and the exact length suffix (CU50CM, CU1M, CU3M, CU5M, CU7M, etc.) on the PDP.
03.Can I plug a 10G SFP+ DAC into a 25G SFP28 port?
Only when the host explicitly supports 10G operation in that SFP28 cage and the cable EEPROM is accepted. Many SFP28 ports can downshift to 10G, but coding and speed must match the switch configuration. Prefer a native 25G SFP28 DAC when both ends run 25G, and never force-fit QSFP cables into SFP cages.
04.Are these SFP+ DACs coded for Cisco, Arista, Dell, and Brocade?

Use a DAC for short copper jumps inside a rack or between adjacent racks. For longer runs, structured fiber, or when you need DOM and flexible patching, choose pluggable 10G SFP+ optics (or 25G SFP28 optics) plus fiber patch cords from the optics hub.
