LINK-PP LS-CW311G-80C is a commercial-grade 1310nm CWDM SFP module built for 1Gbps data rates over 80km single-mode fiber links. It adopts a standard hot-pluggable SFP footprint, meets SFP MSA requirements, and integrates a duplex LC port along with real-time Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) for operational visibility. This module operates reliably within a 0 to +70°C case temperature range and is tailored for regional backbone extensions.
The hot-pluggable SFP mechanical design allows field replacement without powering down the host chassis. Electrical and management interfaces are fully compliant with the SFP MSA, guaranteeing interoperability with a broad array of switches, routers, and media converters.
Its 1Gbps line rate delivers adequate throughput for connecting regional backbone nodes and aggregation points. This connectivity supports stable data exchange over metropolitan or campus ring topologies where moderate bandwidth and extended reach are required.
By operating on the CWDM wavelength grid, this transceiver enables multiple optical channels to share one physical fiber pair. This multiplexing approach increases spectral utilization and defers costly new fiber installations.
The 1310nm window is selected for its low attenuation in single-mode fiber and its moderate chromatic dispersion behavior over the intended span. This wavelength choice simplifies link budgeting without requiring exotic dispersion-compensation techniques.
The 80km reach capability covers long physical spans between sites without requiring external optical amplifiers or regenerators. It relies on a DFB laser source to deliver sufficient optical power for sustaining link integrity over the full distance.
The duplex LC interface provides a secure, latch-based connection to standard single-mode fiber patch cords. Its compact design ensures consistent physical mating and minimizes insertion loss during routine plug-and-play operations.
The Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) feature gives network administrators live access to key internal operating parameters. It tracks temperature, supply voltage, laser bias current, and optical Rx/Tx power levels to simplify fault detection and link supervision.
