It integrates a duplex LC connector, DOM, and a hot-pluggable SFP compliant footprint. These features collectively enable wavelength-efficient multiplexing and real-time link supervision.
This SFP module occupies a standard SFP footprint and is hot-pluggable for easy field replacement. It adheres strictly to SFP MSA requirements for electrical and mechanical interoperability. Users can swap it without powering down the host equipment.
The 1Gbps line rate suits regional aggregation networks where bandwidth demand is moderate. It handles full-duplex traffic with low latency and stable throughput. Typical deployments include metro ring links and campus distribution layers.
CWDM technology allows this module to share a single fiber pair with multiple other wavelength channels. It uses the 1470nm slot to minimise crosstalk with adjacent grid wavelengths. This approach increases total fiber capacity without adding new physical cables.
The 1470nm wavelength is a standard CWDM channel defined by ITU-T G.694.2, with a 20nm spacing from adjacent wavelengths. It provides a distinct optical carrier for transmission over a shared single-mode fiber pair. This channel works together with other CWDM channels to maximise the utilisation of existing fibre infrastructure.
