02.How long can a passive 10G SFP+ DAC run?
Passive 10G SFP+ DACs are commonly stocked from 0.5 m up to about 7 m. Same-rack and adjacent-rack links usually use 1–3 m; longer paths may need AOC or 10G optics plus fiber. Confirm AWG, bend radius, and the exact length suffix (CU50CM, CU1M, CU3M, CU5M, CU7M, etc.) on the PDP.
03.Can I plug a 10G SFP+ DAC into a 25G SFP28 port?
Only when the host explicitly supports 10G operation in that SFP28 cage and the cable EEPROM is accepted.
