Cisco QSFP112-FR4-400G Compatible LINK-PP module is a highly efficient 400G QSFP112 optical transceiver designed to optimize high-speed data transmission over single-mode fiber. It integrates advanced CWDM technology, a duplex LC interface, and real-time diagnostic capabilities into a compact physical-layer design. Operating within a commercial temperature range, this module provides reliable 2km reach with optimized power efficiency for modern networks.
This module features a 4 CWDM lanes MUX/DEMUX design that combines and separates optical signals efficiently. It maintains a maximum power consumption of 10W, helping operators manage thermal loads in high-density switch chassis. The hot-pluggable QSFP112 form factor ensures seamless installation without disrupting active network operations.
Equipped with a 4 × 106.25 Gbps electrical interface compliant with 400GAUI-4, this module delivers massive throughput for cloud and hyperscale environments. It enables rapid data processing across core network backbones by utilizing 100G PAM4 signaling per lane. This rapid serialization supports intense data center traffic Demands while keeping cabling requirements minimal.
By utilizing Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM), the transceiver combines four distinct channels onto a single fiber pair. This layout maximizes the data capacity of existing single-mode fiber infrastructure without requiring costly new cable deployment. It represents a practical approach to scaling bandwidth while optimizing overall physical plant assets.
The transceiver operates across four precise grid wavelengths: 1271nm, 1291nm, 1311nm, and 1331nm. Each lane carries a 100G optical signal simultaneously with excellent channel isolation and minimal optical crosstalk. This specific wavelength spacing ensures clean signal integrity over the single-mode fiber.
Adhering to the 100G Lambda MSA 400G-FR4 specification, the module reliably covers spans up to 2km over standard single-mode fiber (SMF). This link budget is ideal for local intra-data center connections and campus network aggregations. It provides the necessary reach to span across large building complexes without requiring intermediate inline amplification.
The industry-standard duplex LC optical connector interface provides a familiar, low-insertion-loss connection point for fiber patching. Its robust mechanical locking latch prevents accidental disconnections and ensures stable optical alignment. This standard connection style simplifies field deployment and matches standard enterprise patch panels.
Integrated Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) delivers continuous, real-time telemetry on critical operating metrics. Network administrators can remotely track parameters such as transceiver temperature, laser bias current, transmitted optical power, and received optical power. This proactive visibility allows teams to catch link degradation issues before an actual network outage occurs.

Q: Can this 400G-FR4 module connect directly to a 400G-DR4 transceiver on the opposite end? By J***n on 2026-04-20
A: No, FR4 combines 4 wavelengths over 2 duplex LC fibers, whereas DR4 uses 8 parallel fibers with MPO connectors. By admin on 2026-04-21
Q: We operate a dense data center rack with airflow restricted at the back — what is the maximum operating temperature allowed for this module? By M***r on 2026-02-22
A: The operating temperature is rated from 0°C to 70°C, so your rack cooling should keep internal airflow within that range. By admin on 2026-02-23
Q: We need 400G links between buildings 1.5km apart. Will this optical module cover the distance? By L***n on 2025-12-15
A: Yes, it supports up to 2km transmission over single-mode fiber, so your 1.5km inter-building links will work fine. By admin on 2025-12-16
Q: How much heat does this module generate in a fully loaded 32-port 400G switch card? By I***r on 2025-07-15
A: Maximum power consumption is kept strictly under 10W per module, minimizing overall thermal dissipation across high-density switch faces. By admin on 2025-07-16
Q: Is this 400G QSFP112 transceiver fully compliant with 100G Lambda MSA standards? By K***r on 2025-03-26
A: Yes, it multiplexes four 100G PAM4 optical lanes in full accordance with 100G Lambda MSA specifications. By admin on 2025-03-27
