LS-CW611G-40C is specified as a 1610nm CWDM optical transceiver, employing a DFB laser and a PIN photodiode in a standard SFP footprint. Its single-mode fiber link distance is rated at 40km, with optical dispersion tolerance and loss budget matched to typical metro access spans. Integrated digital optical monitoring continuously reports key parameters (laser bias current, optical power, supply voltage, and operating temperature) over the 0°C to +70°C commercial temperature range.

LINK-PP LS-CW611G-40C is a 1G SFP transceiver that integrates CWDM technology, 1610nm wavelength, 40km reach, duplex LC interface, and digital optical monitoring (DOM) into a hot-pluggable MSA-compliant package. It operates over single-mode fiber and delivers real-time diagnostic data through its DOM function. These combined features make it a versatile option for medium-to-long distance fiber links.
This SFP transceiver adopts a hot-pluggable SFP footprint that allows quick installation and replacement without system shutdown. It is fully compliant with the SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA), ensuring mechanical and electrical interoperability with standard cages and host boards.
Operating at a 1Gbps data rate, this module provides reliable connectivity for metro edge access spans where bandwidth demand is moderate. It handles typical uplink and aggregation tasks in campus or city-edge networks with ease.
The CWDM technology embedded in this module enables multiple wavelengths to share a single physical fiber, reducing the number of fibers needed for network expansion. By using coarse wavelength division multiplexing, it helps operators make better use of existing dark fiber infrastructure.
This transceiver operates on the 1610nm CWDM channel, which lies in the longer-wavelength window of the standard single-mode fiber transmission band. That wavelength is selected to minimise attenuation and to align with common CWDM multiplexer/demultiplexer grids.
The module supports fibre transmission distances up to 40km, with an optical power budget sufficient to overcome typical fibre losses at 1610nm over that length. It is designed for single-mode fibre and maintains signal integrity across the full 40km span.
The duplex LC connector is used on the module’s optical interface, providing a secure and standardised connection for dual-fibre patch cords. This interface is widely deployed in telecom and enterprise environments, ensuring compatibility with most fibre distribution panels.
Digital optical monitoring (DOM) gives this module the ability to track key operating parameters in real time. It is compatible with SFF-8472 digital diagnostics functions, reporting transmitter power, receiver power, operating temperature, supply voltage, and laser bias current continuously.
