LINK-PP LS-SM3125-02C is a 25G SFP28 transceiver that combines a 1310nm DFB laser, a PIN photodiode, and a duplex LC/UPC interface for 2km single‑mode fiber links. It includes digital DOM for real‑time signal monitoring and supports stable operation across a wide temperature range. Together, these features make the module a reliable choice for short‑reach metro and access connections.
This module is built around a 1310nm DFB transmitter and a PIN receiver. The DFB delivers low chromatic dispersion, while the PIN ensures sufficient sensitivity for the 2km reach. Both components are integrated in a standard SFP28 form factor.
Designed for metro access networks, this module provides 25Gbps data rate over existing single‑mode fiber infrastructure. Its 2km range covers typical aggregation and edge connections, reducing the need for additional signal regeneration.
The 1310nm wavelength offers a well‑balanced operating window with low attenuation in standard single‑mode fiber. It also avoids the cost and complexity of longer‑reach 1550nm optics while maintaining good performance for short‑distance links.
With a transmission distance of up to 2km, this module is ideal for intra‑building, campus, or metro edge deployments. It easily covers the reach required for most rack‑to‑rack and floor‑to‑floor connections without using external amplifiers.
The duplex LC/UPC connector ensures quick and secure mating with standard fiber patch cords. Its UPC polish minimizes back reflection, which helps maintain signal integrity in bidirectional data links.
Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) provides real‑time access to parameters such as transmitter power, receiver power, temperature, and supply voltage. This feature enables proactive link health checks and simplifies troubleshooting during network operation.

Q: Is the pull-tab robust enough to handle frequent hot-swapping during active datacenter maintenance cycles? By B***y on 2026-04-21
A: Yes, the high-strength structural pull-tab is specifically engineered to endure repeated extraction cycles in high-density rack configurations. By admin on 2026-04-22
Q: Can I patch this 25G optical transceiver directly into an existing multi-mode OM3/OM4 fiber infrastructure? By D***e on 2026-01-29
A: No, this module requires single-mode fiber to operate correctly; attempting to use multi-mode fiber will result in severe signal loss. By admin on 2026-01-30
Q: Does this 25G SFP28 optical module support real-time digital diagnostic monitoring via standard SNMP? By C***d on 2025-11-04
A: Yes, it features full DDM/DOM compliance per SFF-8472, allowing you to monitor real-time temperature, supply voltage, laser bias current, and optical power via your network management software. By admin on 2025-11-05
Q: Will a complete fiber polarity error (reversed Tx/Rx strands) show up in our software as an uneven optical power alert? By E***n on 2025-08-11
A: No, a full polarity crossover results in a complete Loss of Signal (LOS) across all channels, shifting the interface status directly to link-down. By admin on 2025-08-12
Q: We need to purchase 500 pieces of these 2km 25G QSFP28 optical transceivers for a data center overhaul. Do you offer bulk order discounts? By A***y on 2025-03-13
A: Yes, we offer tiered wholesale pricing and customized quotes for volume corporate orders; please contact our sales support team directly. By admin on 2025-03-14
