Dell DWDM-SFP10G-54.94-I Compatible LINK-PP module is an industrial-grade 10G SFP+ optical transceiver designed for stable data transmission over single-mode fiber. It operates at 1554.94nm, supports up to 40km reach, and includes DOM for real-time monitoring. The module combines reliable optics, duplex LC connectivity, and a wide operating temperature range for demanding environments.
Designed with a hot-pluggable SFP+ footprint, it allows easy installation and replacement without system downtime. A cooled EML laser and PIN photodiode ensure stable optical output and accurate signal reception. This design helps maintain consistent performance in industrial conditions.
It delivers a data rate of 10Gbps, suitable for high-speed fiber communication. The module fits applications such as metro aggregation and backbone links. Stable transmission is maintained even over longer fiber distances.
DWDM technology enables multiple signals to be transmitted over the same fiber. This improves fiber utilization and reduces infrastructure costs. It is suitable for networks requiring higher channel density.
The transceiver operates at a precise wavelength of 1554.94nm within the DWDM grid. This ensures compatibility with wavelength-division systems. It also helps reduce signal interference between channels.
Up to 40km transmission over single-mode fiber is supported without additional amplification. This makes it suitable for long-distance links. Signal stability is maintained across the full reach.
A duplex LC connector provides separate transmit and receive channels. This interface is widely used and easy to integrate into existing systems. It supports reliable fiber connections in compact setups.
Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) allows real-time tracking of key parameters such as temperature, bias current, supply voltage, and optical power. This helps with system diagnostics and maintenance. Network operators can quickly detect and address issues.

Q: Will integrating this C28 optic into an existing 100GHz grid cause spectral bleed into neighboring channels? By A***r on 2026-04-03
A: No. Strict ITU-T C28 wavelength locking keeps optical power tightly contained within its allocated channel slot, preserving clean sideband margins. By admin on 2026-04-04
Q: We are retrofitting older 10G aggregation hardware — will hot-swapping this LS-DW2810-40I DWDM SFP+ interrupt neighboring active ports? By D***d on 2026-01-22
A: No, the module features true hot-pluggable electrical isolation, letting you insert or swap it live without causing link flaps on adjacent ports. By admin on 2026-01-23
Q: Will the optical output wavelength drift off C28 (1554.94nm) when cold-starting at sub-zero temperatures? By E***n on 2025-08-14
A: No, internal laser temperature stabilization maintains tight 100GHz ITU channel accuracy even down to -40°C. By admin on 2025-08-15
Q: Can we use a standard duplex LC OS2 optical patch cord to jumper this module into our passive DWDM Mux panel? By C***n on 2025-05-09
A: Yes, it features a standard duplex LC receptacle that pairs directly with standard single-mode optical patch cables. By admin on 2025-05-10
