Arista SFP-25G-ER-I Compatible LINK-PP module is an industrial-grade 25GBASE-ER SFP28 transceiver that operates at 1310nm and reaches 30km over single-mode fiber using a duplex LC/UPC interface. It integrates DOM for live optical monitoring and is fully compliant with MSA, CPRI, and eCPRI specifications. This combination of long reach, rugged design, and standard compliance makes it a versatile optical module for demanding links.
This module meets SFP28 MSA requirements and supports CPRI as well as eCPRI data rates for fronthaul and backhaul applications. It is built with an industrial-temperature grade to ensure stable operation in outdoor or uncontrolled environments. Its optical design follows the 25GBASE-ER standard for consistent performance.
It is designed to support long-reach fronthaul links with stable 25Gbps data transmission. The module enables efficient data transport between remote radio units and baseband units over extended distances.
The 1310nm wavelength offers low attenuation and moderate chromatic dispersion over standard single-mode fiber. It is a well-chosen band for 25G ER links because it balances reach and cost. This wavelength also simplifies laser design and enables stable output power.
The module delivers a full 30km transmission distance on G.652 single-mode fiber with a sufficient optical budget. This distance covers typical metro rings, campus interconnects, and remote site links. It adheres to the 25GBASE-ER power and sensitivity specifications for error-free data transfer.
The duplex LC/UPC connector provides a low-loss and secure physical interface for fiber patch cords. Its UPC polish minimizes back reflection, which helps maintain signal integrity at 25Gbps. This interface is widely used in telecom and data-center environments, ensuring easy deployment.
Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) gives real-time access to key parameters such as Rx/Tx power, laser bias current, temperature, and supply voltage. This data helps operators quickly detect fibre degradation or connector issues. DOM also simplifies link planning by providing precise margin measurements.
