LINK-PP LS-CW351G-80C is a commercial-grade 1350nm CWDM SFP transceiver that delivers 1Gbps data rates over single-mode fiber up to 80km. It features a duplex LC interface, digital diagnostic monitoring (DDM) for real-time operation checks, and operates within 0 to +70°C case temperature. This module combines CWDM technology with long-reach capability for efficient fiber utilization.
This optical transceiver module follows the hot-pluggable SFP footprint and is fully compliant with the SFP MSA. It allows easy installation and replacement without powering down the system. The electrical interface meets the MSA-defined pinout and signal requirements.
The 1Gbps data rate provides sufficient bandwidth for optical multiplexing backbones that aggregate multiple lower-speed links. This module serves as a cost-effective transceiver in CWDM-based backbone networks, supporting point-to-point connections over long spans.
The CWDM technology employed in this module enables multiple channels to share a single fiber by using different wavelengths. It reduces the need for additional fiber strands, thus improving fiber utilization efficiency in metro and access networks.
The 1350nm wavelength is one of the standard CWDM grid channels, allowing this module to coexist with other CWDM transceivers in the same fiber. It provides a specific transmission window with low attenuation for single-mode fiber.
The 80km transmission reach is achieved through the use of a DFB laser and a PIN photodiode with optimized sensitivity. This module can drive signals across long-distance metro rings without requiring intermediate amplification.
The duplex LC interface provides a standard and reliable physical connection for single-mode fiber patch cords. It ensures low insertion loss and easy polarity management in dense patch panels.
The DDM function continuously monitors key parameters such as Rx/Tx optical power, operating temperature, supply voltage, and laser bias current. It allows the host system to detect link degradation or fault conditions in real time, facilitating proactive maintenance.
