Brocade XBR-SFP10G1570-10 Compatible LINK-PP module is a commercial-grade 10G SFP+ CWDM transceiver designed for reliable, multi-channel metro and data center links over single-mode fiber. It combines a hot-pluggable SFP+ form factor, CWDM wavelength efficiency at 1570nm, 10km reach, duplex LC connectivity, and real-time DOM monitoring in a compact, standards-compliant module.
The XBR-SFP10G1570-10 uses a hot-pluggable SFP+ footprint for easy installation and replacement without powering down the system. It is compliant with the SFP+ MSA and SFF-8472 specifications, ensuring broad switch and router compatibility as well as standardized mechanical and electrical interfaces.
Designed for next-generation network infrastructure, the XBR-SFP10G1570-10 provides robust 10Gbps data transmission for enterprise, storage, and metro links. It enables efficient network expansion and high-speed data flow while maximizing existing fiber investments.
CWDM technology enables multiple wavelengths to coexist on the same fiber, reducing the number of fibers required for multi-service deployment. This approach simplifies network planning and lowers cost per bit in point-to-point and ring topologies that use 10G links.
Operating at a 1570nm CWDM wavelength, this transceiver fits into the standard 18-channel CWDM grid used in many metro and access networks. The 1570nm channel is well-suited for long-reach single-mode links where low attenuation and compatibility with existing CWDM infrastructure are important.
The optical budget and component design support transmission distances up to 10km over standard single-mode fiber (SMF). This reach covers most intra-city, campus, and data center interconnect scenarios that require reliable 10G connectivity without amplification.
A duplex LC connector provides a compact, industry-standard interface for transmit and receive fibers in a single module. This design simplifies patching, improves port density on switches, and matches the cabling used in most 10G SFP+ deployments.
Built-in DOM (Digital Optical Monitoring) allows real-time tracking of key parameters such as temperature, supply voltage, TX/RX power, and bias current. These diagnostics help with proactive maintenance, link troubleshooting, and performance verification in production networks.

Q: Can we mix this 1570nm channel with 1490nm and 1530nm on the same 8-channel CWDM mux without crosstalk issues? By T***n on 2026-03-25
A: Yes, 1570nm is part of the standard ITU-T G.694.2 CWDM grid and coexists cleanly with 1490/1530nm on typical 8-channel mux/demux systems. By admin on 2026-03-26
Q: Do I need to reboot our top-of-rack switch when inserting this module into an active port? By V***m on 2025-08-24
A: No reboot is needed. The module features a hot-pluggable SFP+ footprint for live installation. By admin on 2025-08-25
Q: Can we plug our existing multi-mode LC patch cables into this 1570nm CWDM transceiver for short links? By S***t on 2025-04-04
A: No, this CWDM 10km SFP transceiver requires single-mode fiber with duplex LC connectors for correct optical transmission. By admin on 2025-04-05
