This compact transceiver brings full 10G Ethernet capability to high-density switches and routers, offering seamless hardware interoperability. It provides network operators with an efficient, plug-and-play solution to scale bandwidth without expanding physical space.
By utilizing bidirectional (BiDi) technology, this module transmits and receives data simultaneously over a single strand of optical fiber. This effective design allows operators to double their network capacity instantly without laying new fiber cables.
The transceiver uses a 1330nm laser to transmit data and a 1270nm receiver to collect incoming signals, preventing signal interference on the single fiber strand. To establish a complete working link, it must be paired with a matching module that operates on complementary wavelengths.
